WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE SATELLITE FREE TO AIR TV?
Anyone who is in an unserved or in a poor reception area.
HOW DO I APPLY
You will need to fill in a form together with a statutory declaration these are available from a satellite installer. The forms are then sent to the ABA(Australian Broadcating Authority).
WHAT EQUIPMENT WILL I NEED TO PURCHASE AFTER MY APPLICATION HAS BEEN APPROVED?
You will need a satellite dish, 90cm to 1.2m, cabling, decoder and a Tv with UHF tuning.
WHERE WILL THE DISH BE MOUNTED?
Preferably on the ground but in some cases installation can be done on the roof.
WHAT CHANNELS WILL I RECEIVE?
SBS on 5 channels:Qld, Sth East, Sth Aust,WA & Nth Territory
ABC on 5 channels: (Both the above are time delayed.
CENTRAL SEVEN: Which is similar to Southern Cross.
IMPARJA: simialr to WIN and the TEN network.
WESTLINK: an educational channel.
TVSN: shopping channels.
RADIO:and up to 30 radio channels and TAB racing.
MEDISAT can also be tuned in which has 3 ethnic tv channels which are FTA.(Free To Air)
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST
Around +GST with no ongoing monthly fees. Not like Austar.
